Featured Books: We are committed to  promoting equal access to literacy. We feel strongly that children should be literate in their mother tongues. Our goal is to help all Newcomers–migrant, immigrant, and refugee families– access books and resources which support their literacy development. The first step is our own professional development and awareness. We need to be knowledgeable (and act upon) the challenges children face, sometimes in dire conditions. This list will be updated periodically as we discover books and resources to help our message gain a stronger foothold in the mainstream.
